About the role

Our client, a beverage manufacturer, is seeking a Sales Professional to grow and manage their wholesale business in the Western Cape.

The Regional Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling the company’s product portfolio within the region. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers, driving sales growth, achieving regional targets, and delivering a high standard of customer service.

The successful candidate will work closely with key wholesale accounts, identify new business opportunities, and ensure consistent market presence and brand representation across the Western Cape.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and volume across the wholesale channel in the Western Cape
  • Build and manage strong relationships with key wholesale customers
  • Identify new business opportunities and unlock new accounts
  • Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned to national objectives
  • Negotiate pricing, promotions, and trading terms with customers
  • Monitor stock levels, distribution, and in-market execution
  • Work closely with merchandising and sales teams to ensure visibility and availability in Modern Trade
  • Analyse sales performance and implement corrective action where required
  • Provide regular reporting and market feedback to the leadership team

Experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree / NQF 6 or similar
  • 3-5 years' current/recent experience in a sales or business development role in FMCG, specifically in the wholesale channel (non negotiable).
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities within the specified regions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite as well as CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.

Remuneration

Market Related with Company Car, Fuel and Cell.
