Our client is a leading distributor of premium alcohol brands and is seeking a Marketing Analystto join their high-performance Insights team. Key responsibilities

  • Support the Marketing Team with all data and analytics needs, including reporting, dashboards, and insights for brand planning and quarterly marketing plans.
  • Develop cutting-edge dashboards and analytical reports that deliver actionable insights for strategic growth.
  • Train Marketing Teams on BI tools and champion new data platforms across the business.
  • Ensure accuracy and relevance of data tools within a big data landscape.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Insights on quarterly reviews, strategic projects, and global business reviews.
  • Contribute to AI and data integration workflows to optimize efficiency and insights generation.
  • Draw from multiple data sources to uncover growth drivers and performance trends.
  • Package insights into digestible, compelling recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Brand Managers to meet analytical requirements for campaigns and activations.
  • Prioritize workflows effectively and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all reporting and administrative outputs.
  • Take initiative and drive conversations to influence data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay ahead of emerging AI tools and leverage them to enhance analytics and reporting capabilities.

Experience and qualifications

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Data, Analytics, or Insights roles (FMCG experience preferred; Beverage Alcohol industry advantageous).
  • Proven expertise in BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Qlik, Pyramid, Sigma, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with AI-driven tools and platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Gamma, Snowflake Cortex Analyst).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, SQL, or similar skills advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and data storytelling capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-performance, deadline-driven environment with a proactive, collaborative attitude.

Remuneration

Up to R660,000 p/a - Including Benefits
