Key responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

  • Prepare proposals, request quotes, and negotiate purchase terms
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and procurement plans
  • Conduct market research and analyse demand trends
  • Implement sourcing strategies and initiatives

Supplier Management

  • Establish and maintain supplier relationships
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues
  • Expedite urgent or late orders and manage deliveries
  • Maintain and update the supplier database

Quality & Compliance

  • Inspect and evaluate purchased items against quality standards
  • Ensure purchases are cost-effective and compliant
  • Conduct due diligence on new and existing partners
  • Enforce company procurement guidelines

Contracting & Administration

  • Review, draft, vet, and negotiate commercial agreements
  • Track purchase history and support team collaboration

Experience and qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, or supply chain management or a similar field preferred.
