Key responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
- Prepare proposals, request quotes, and negotiate purchase terms
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and procurement plans
- Conduct market research and analyse demand trends
- Implement sourcing strategies and initiatives
Supplier Management
- Establish and maintain supplier relationships
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues
- Expedite urgent or late orders and manage deliveries
- Maintain and update the supplier database
Quality & Compliance
- Inspect and evaluate purchased items against quality standards
- Ensure purchases are cost-effective and compliant
- Conduct due diligence on new and existing partners
- Enforce company procurement guidelines
Contracting & Administration
- Review, draft, vet, and negotiate commercial agreements
- Track purchase history and support team collaboration
Experience and qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, or supply chain management or a similar field preferred.
